Counsel/Senior Counsel

The primary responsibilities will be to provide excellent legal opinions and representation regarding individual life insurance, annuity products, and other financial products, as well as other litigation matters. Primary responsibilities will include providing legal research and advice, handling litigation and pre-litigation matters, including NASD arbitrations and managing outside counsel.

 

Principal Responsibilities:

- Juris doctor degree from an accredited law school.

- Bar admission required. NY State Bar admission required eventually.

- Excellent academic credentials.

- Minimum 5 years of experience, reflecting a record of accomplishment.

- Excellent analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to handle pressured situations effectively.

- Ability to deal effectively with clients, management and staff.

- Prefer NASD and/or regulatory experience
