Director of Diversity and Professional Development

The Director of Diversity and Professional Development will report directly to the firm?s Executive Director and the Management Committee. The Director will be responsible for identifying and responding to the needs and concerns of diverse and developing attorneys. The Director will work with the firm?s practice groups, committees and administrative professionals to further the firm's diversity and development goals, including marketing, recruitment, professional development, legal training, and partner and associate review and compensation, all in an effort to enhance the firm?s commitment to recruiting, developing, retaining and promoting attorneys. The Director will work with offices and practice groups to infuse the concepts of diversity and professional development into the firm's culture. The position requires a JD with a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible legal related experience or equivalent, with previous management experience. Candidates with prior experience in diversity and professional development are preferred, as are candidates located in or willing to relocate to, Seattle. We will, though, carefully consider candidates living in other locations where our firm has offices. The position requires travel as needed.
