Experienced Paralegal/Legal Assistant

Experienced Paralegal/Legal Assistant providing civil litigation support for two attorneys including:  All aspects of discovery including responding to interrogatories, requests for production of documents and requests for admissions, contact and work with clients to prepare discovery responses, preparing self-executing discovery including organizing and bates labeling all documents produced and/or received.  Prepare and send requests for medical, employment, workers compensation and social security disability records, create medical chronologies, coordinate and schedule depositions, make initial contact with experts, send appropriate records and deposition transcripts for review.  Preparation of pleadings including answer, jury demand, expert and fact witness designations, final pre-trial memorandums including detailed exhibit listing and others as assigned.  Coordinate all aspects of trial preparation including organization and labeling of all exhibits, preparation of trial notebooks, jury venire including the preparation and listing of all juror information contained on juror questionnaires for attorneys use during voir dire and jury selection process, coordination of witnesses including issuing trial subpoenas and witness fees in accordance with statutes. 

 

Legal experience preferred including successful completion of ABA approved paralegal program with certification through national paralegal organization.  Computer skills with preference in legal software programs including CaseMap, TimeMatters, PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft programs, excellent oral and written communication, detail orientated and multi-tasking a must.
