INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY COUNSEL

 

 

IDT is enhancing the global network with semiconductor solutions for communications companies that lead today?s voice, data and wireless innovations.  We currently have a unique opportunity for an Intellectual Property Attorney to join us as a key member of our San Jose Corporate organization.

 

Reporting to the General Counsel and working with internal clients, you will participate in the continuing development and implementation of IDT's corporate IP strategy. Responsibilities include managing the patent process, working with engineers to obtain appropriate IP protection for a wide range of technologies, assisting with portfolio analysis and development, providing support on IP-related issues such as licensing and litigation, and supervising work of outside counsel. We require a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, a JD and a USPTO Reg. No. supported by 5 or more years of relevant experience as an attorney practicing IP law, with an emphasis on semiconductor art. Excellent communication skills and exacting attention to detail will be expected.
