In-house Corporate Paralegal

 DESCRIPTIONInternational beauty company with a prestigious line of well-known skin care products is looking for a corporate paralegal. Their product line includes both inner and outer health and beauty products that are unparalleled in quality, safety, value, benefits and results. The paralegal will support the new General Council and perform a wide variety of general paralegal and paraprofessional support related to the legal function and the Corporate Legal Department. This position will assist the General Counsel in setting up the Legal Department's organizational management systems, tracking systems, and meeting strategic objectives regarding record retention and other projects. General legal support includes, but is not limited to: legal research; compilation of data; preparing and proofreading documents and correspondence; maintaining records; and interfacing with outside counsel and executives.REQUIREMENTSPrefer at least 10 years paralegal experience in a major law firm. Corporate securities and transactional experience preferred. Familiarity with direct sales, FTC, SEC or other regulated business is helpful. Excellent decision-making and problem-assessment skills required. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, changing environment. Ability to interface well with all levels of management. Advanced working knowledge of PC software applications (Access, Word, and Excel).NALA, NFPA, or State Bar of California certification and/or paralegal certificate required. College degree preferred.
