Insurance Paralegal

Major Insurance Company is seeking an experienced Top Tier paralegal to join their legal department! The purpose of the department is to provide legal defense to insureds of the company who get sued for neglegent conduct covered by their liability policy.

The scope of this job is providing support for attorneys in all aspects of insurance defense civil litigation.

Experience
- 3-5 years of solid and verifiable paralegal experience
- Must have 2+ years experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department
- BA/BS and/or Paralegal Certificate required
- Ability to transcribe, proof read documents, and type 50+ WPM
- MS Word Proficiency required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Independent and detailed-oriented
- Flexible individual with can-do attitude

Duties
-Drafting discovery responses, pleadings and motions
-Legal research and medical record reviews
-Providing back-up assistance to other support staff as needed
-Tracking practice area critical dates and deadlines
-Additional duties as required
