Integrity Associate

The Integrity Associate is responsible for promoting, administering and maintaining athenaheath?s corporate integrity policies and procedures. The Integrity Associate will also be responsible for investigating and resolving internal compliance issues. (S)he will report directly to the Chief Integrity Officer based in our headquarters in Watertown, MA.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:


Assist Integrity Officer in monitoring and evaluating the Integrity Program

In cooperation with the knowledge management team, assist with the development and implementation of effective compliance education and training programs

Assist with the development and implementation of effective policies for appropriate response to non-compliant behavior by company employees, vendors and customers

Assist in preparing compliance reports for submission to governmental agencies, management, the Compliance Committee and the Audit Committee as necessary

Monitor the compliance hotline and respond to daily compliance inquiries

Investigate and help to resolve suspected compliance failures

Organize meetings of the Compliance Committee

Assist with conducting internal investigations and compile files based on investigation results

Organize all records related to the Integrity Program

Monitor ongoing compliance projects.

Skills

High level understanding of the three major services lines and of the organization?s responsibility for delivering on them;

Understanding of the Balanced Scorecard and each department?s responsibilities under it;

Excellent communication skills (particularly listening and speaking);

Maniacal attention to detail;

Willing/excited to work in a fast-paced, but sometimes intense, rapidly expanding company;

Strong computer literacy and/or the comfort, ability and desire to advance technically.

Bachelor?s Degree of Arts or Science

Legal/Compliance knowledge or work experience

Strong research skills and ability to communicate clearly in writing

Familiarity with HIPAA and medical fraud and abuse regulations a plus

Strong motivation and ability to champion a comprehensive Integrity process that is fully integrated with other company functions and with company culture

Ability to discuss/investigate compliance issues with employees at all levels of the company

Demonstrated ability to assume sole and independent responsibilities

Willingness to expand range of job responsibilities as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the role

In-depth knowledge of athenaNet operations or ability to quickly learn about athenaNet operations

Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as ability and willingness to further develop these skills as necessary.
