Intellectual Property Assistant

OVERVIEW

The Law Office of BainwoodHuang is currently looking for an experienced Intellectual Property Assistant seeking an exciting role with great career path potential. This is a salary position with wage based on experience. We offer health / dental coverage, a 401K plan with percentage matching (qualification and participation necessary), short / long term disability and a generous vacation / holiday package. JOB DESCRIPTION

?1 Preparing and filing patent-related correspondences with the United States Patent Office;

?2 Docketing (including manual docket);

?3 Maintaining File Wrappers;

?4 Preparing client status reports and correspondence;

?5 Answering phones, preparing and sending fax correspondence and confirmations;

?6 Reviewing docket entries with supporting attorney and completing certain tasks; and

?7 Performing other duties as required.

 

REQUIREMENTS

The right candidate for this position should:

?1 Be a friendly and motivated team player;

?2 Be procedures and detail oriented;

?3 Produce consistent work with a low error rate;

?4 Possess experience in the MS Office Suite including but not limited to MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook;

?5 Possess 2 ? 3 years of secretarial experience in Intellectual Property; and

?6 Possess the ability to obtain a useful knowledge of Foreign / PCT filing if not already in possession of this skill.
