Intellectual Property Paralegal for Law Department

Law Department for major corporation needs to add an IP paralegal to their staff. Ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience, but will consider less if have Bachelor's Degree.

Minimum of AA degree required, BA/BS degree preferred

Paralegal will be responsible for all filing and prosecuting Patent Applications and Trademark Applications before the USPTO and foreign patent and trademark agencies. Position is approximately 75% patents and 25% trademarks.

Will docket and manage all official actions, notices, written opinions and responses received from and submitted to the respective Patent and Trademark Offices, outside counsel and foreign associates. Must have strong experience with one or more Commercial IP docketing systems.

Arrange for the payment of all fees, annuities and services rendered by outside counsel.

Maintain and manage intellectual property and related budget data in web-based systems.

Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the operation of the Legal/IP Departments.
