Jr. Trademark Paralegal

Job Description -- Responsibilities include handling of the Business Trust, performing tasks similar to a corporate secretariat.
In addition, Global has a significant number of trademarks and licenses that must be maintained.
This position is necessary in order to ensure compliance globally with the trademark and licensing laws.
Under direct supervision, provides professional legal support service to attorneys in specific areas of law:
Litigation, Corporate/Commercial and Counseling. Responsibilities by area include:

LITIGATION:

Subpoenas: Preparation of response and objection letter. Contacting engagement partners or managers, preparing for depositions,
working with inside and outside attorneys as required.

Litigation Research: Assist inside and outside counsel in case research.

AICPA: Report complaints (QCIC & Ethics)

Proposal Responses: Advice/Responses to legal questions about proposals.

Preference Actions : Review clients in bankruptcy to see if we have a claim

Bankruptcy Lawsuits: Research suits stemming from our clients in bankruptcy.

Employment Related Matters: Request and review employee personnel files, prepare employment charts, work with
partners/employees in third-party civil lawsuits.

CORPORATE/COMMERCIAL:

Trademark and patent support including administration of over 3,500 trademarks. Includes maintenance of tracking system,
current filing of annual renewals, new trademark applications, communications with trademark offices.

Corporate Global Entity support including oversight, integration and management of information and documentation concerning
the integration of firms into the PwC global network, including due diligence review/approval of geography, global finance, and, if applicable,
the territory supporting recommendation for the admission of firm(s) to the network. Maintenance of the Master List of Firm and its distribution,
redesign and maintenance of the Global Entity Tracker (GET) project, management of the use of the PwC name which includes follow-up with
firms to determine the scope of services information and the completion of the name license agreement, coordinating with Global Brand Management
on the policing of appropriate uses of the PwC name, visual identity and branding guidelines.
Distribution of the International Arrangement (Closing) Documents to the Territory Senior Partners.

COUNSELING:
Contract Administrators support the counseling attorneys by reviewing, administering and redlining commercial contracts in addition to
standard engagement letters.
