LEGAL ASSISTANT IS NEEDED TO WORK FOR ONE OF THE NATION'S BEST SPORTS ORGANIZATION

One of the Nation's premier sports organization is seeking to hire a Legal Assistant to work in the Sport's Division Executive/Administration department.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Drafting, reviewing and analyzing basic and form agreements (i.e., vendor agreements, footage licenses, releases)


? Supporting the sport's division with insurance and risk management issues and matters; communicating with the division's risk management professional; and maintaining and managing the distribution of insurance and risk management documentation.

? Managing (in coordination with department administrative assistant(s)) department files for division matters, including working files and contract files; distributing and collecting original agreements for execution; managing distribution of executed agreements.

? Working with department attorneys and outside counsel to manage the Divsion's intellectual property assets.

? Drafting correspondence and memoranda as required.

? Assisting on special projects as assigned.

? Performing other duties as required.

Some overnight travel required. 

QUALIFICATIONS/OTHER:

The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a legal department within a corporate environment, preferably within a professional sports or media organization. Candidate must possess a Bachelor?s degree and/or paralegal certificate. Candidate must have the ability to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment, and must also have the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Candidate must have excellent organizational, communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and computer skills. Candidate must be a team player who is not afraid to roll up his/her sleeves to get the job done.
