Legal Admin

A local in-house legal department is looking to fill the Legal admin position in their office. General law knowledge is required for this position.
Some of the job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Typing and assisting in the preparation of presentations, policies, legal documents, inter- and intra-company memos, letters and reports
-Answer the telephone, give information to callers and route calls to appropriate person; prepare and send faxes and process overnight packages
-Schedule meetings and related arrangement/accomodations
-Manage file room; open new files; close files; maintain storage records
-Manage legal library
-Maintain IP binders currrent, using self-directed judgement and analysis of the contents
-Analyze contents of high volume daily legal mail, pull related legal files; assis with docketing deadlines as needed
-Other duties as assigned
The position will be a temporary to hire for the right person. The law office practices intellectual property law and is located in NE Wichita. Office hours for the position are Monday-Friday 8-5.

-Administrative experience in a legal environment is required.
-Effective communication skills required, both written and oral; including strong grammar, spelling and proof-reading skills.
-Detail oriented, accurate and possess strong organizational skills.
-Must be conscientious worker and able to work with confidential information on a daily basis
-Energetic, independent thinker, self-motivated, resourceful and with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
-Prior patent and trademark paralegal or legal assistant experience is a plus
