Legal Assistant II - Corporate

Great-West is currently hiring a Legal Assistant II to support our Legal team of professionals.
This position in the Corporate Governance group will provide paralegal support to our in-house counsel with respect to various corporate filings, transactions and meetings. Fast paced, heavy volume environment with short timelines. Must be able to balance competing priorities with little supervision.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Prepare and submit corporate filings, including secretary of state annual reports, for GWL&A
and its subsidiaries within required timeframes.
- Maintain up-to-date minute books for GWL&A and its subsidiaries, including annual board and
shareholder meeting minutes and drafting of consent resolutions.
- Assist supervisor and senior management in preparing for GWL&A Board of Directors and Committee meetings, and the Board and Committee meetings of GWL&A subsidiary companies.
- Provide legal support to the Financial Reporting Department as necessary.
- Assists supervising attorney with special projects.

Position Requires:
Associates degree in paralegal studies or a Paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited school, plus at least three years of experience in a corporate or large law firm environment.
Strong organizational and computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Westlaw or Lexis are necessary.
Familiarity with Edgar filings a plus.
