Legal Coordinator I

We are currently seeking a Legal Coordinator to be located at our Corporate Office in San Antonio, Texas.

This Legal Coordinator position with the Legal and Risk Management Department will be responsible for coordinating activities of the Department where sales agreements, license agreements, and intellectual property correspondence are concerned. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Process signed sales agreements which includes proofreading signed agreement against final draft, obtaining approvals for subsequent revisions to Agreements and obtaining signature by Clarke American officer(s). Drafting Name Change Amendments to Partner Contracts. Preparing standard Non-Disclosure Agreements.Preparing standard Credit Union and Community Bank contracts. Issuing contract status request forms to sales associates as means to follow up on unsigned agreements and tracking responses.  Issuing ending concession request forms to sales associates following receipt of termination and non-renewal letters.Pulling Trademark and Patent correspondence from external law firm?s web site, log, and distribute to Legal Assistants. Legal research and writing (using Internet and Lexis Nexis).  Processing subpoenas for HR or other Processes? response (includes logging, tracking, contacting issuing attorney or court with questions and extension requests, and preparing final response for delivery and filing). 

 

A Bachelor?s degree in business or related field is preferred.  Completion of a Paralegal Certificate Program is also preferred.  A strong candidate will understand the confidential nature of the job and possess integrity within the framework of a Corporate Legal Department environment.  The Clarke American Legal Department will consider candidates with 1-5 years as Legal Secretary or Junior Legal Assistant for a Law Firm or Legal Department.  Candidates must have experience with MS Office applications (expertise with MS Word; understanding of entering data for and developing formulas and charts in MS Excel).  Candidates must also have the ability to manage multiple tasks, communicate effectively with individuals at all levels both internally and externally, be responsive to both internal and external customers, complete assigned tasks in a timely manner and possess above average grammar and punctuation skills.
