Duties/Responsibilities:

?  Provide consistent quality customer service to both internal and external customers that meets or exceeds Sovereign's standards

?  Assist Senior Counsel with all pending commercial loan workouts and associated civil and bankruptcy litigation matters affecting the Pennsylvania Managed Asset Division or any of the other Managed Asset Divisions.

?  Assist in the commercial loan workout process, including loan file review, drafting workout documentation, drafting, filing and tracking: Pennsylvania confessions of judgment, Pennsylvania foreclosures, bankruptcy court pleadings as well as assist with fact-finding and discovery phases of the litigation process and the settlement, arbitration or trial of matters.

?  Assist in the resolution of commercial loan workout matters.

?  Assist with the tracking and reporting relating to the commercial loan workouts.

?  Maintain all case files

?  Legal research and drafting of legal documents under the supervision of the Senior Counsel

?  Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

Effective knowledge of Pennsylvania law relating to confessions of judgment, foreclosure and bankruptcy; Paralegal Certification preferred; College Degree in related discipline preferred; 3-10 years paralegal experience for a law firm or corporation as a paralegal with primary responsibility of commercial loan workout matters; Experience in banking or banking law matters helpful; Good PC skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Hot Docs; Ability to take initiative and resolve matters with limited supervision; Ability to work well under pressure; Excellent organizational skills; Good oral and written communication skills; Detail oriented; Ability to get along with all levels of management.
