PBLS is looking to add a  Legal Technical Solutions Consultant to our organization.  This position can be based out of Houston, TX or Dallas, TX.


 


Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:


Proactively build a client relationship by developing a deep understanding of client requirements and strategy for document management technology solutions, imaging/indexing for administrative and practice-related materials, knowledge management, and litigation support processes.  Assist account executives and/or account managers in bringing value to the client.


 


Assess client document management solutions for practice and administrative processes and to determine where process, equipment, and technology improvements can be made to bring cost savings or incremental value to our clients/prospects.


 


Prepare the statement of work, pricing and contracts for all phases of service delivery including analysis, design, integration and support in concert with the operations team to ensure buy-in.


 


Manage the performance of all elements of an engagement within the service delivery process to ensure that all milestones are accomplished on schedule, within the program budget and with high levels of client satisfaction.


Manage the expectations of the client to ensure that deliverables are in line with requirements and that changes to the requirements are recorded, sized and priced accordingly.

Secure, schedule and manage the resources (client, internal and external) that are required for each phase of implementation. Ensure that the deliverables meet the quality expectations of the client.

Must maintain a thorough working knowledge of complex, diverse and emerging legal document management, litigation support, imaging and document file conversion, records and e-mail management, electronic evidence discovery, word processing and desktop publishing, trial presentation, disaster recovery, digital copiers and printers, fax servers, print-on-demand, mail routing and tracking, and other technologies employed in law firm practice.


 


Must be able to evaluate client requirements and ensure that the solution is within scope of PBLS overall business objectives and capabilities. This requires an ability to deal with emerging concepts and principles.


 


Effective design and problem solving skills based on a strong knowledge of legal document management and document creation technology, litigation support applications, records management technology, imaging applications for production and end users, trial support applications, etc.


 


Communications with a diverse spectrum of individuals including: 1) internal: sales, technology solutions and field operations and 2) clients: attorneys and paralegals, records staff, MIS staff, facilities management staff.


 


Management in a matrix environment.


 


30% degree of travel will be required. 


 


High relationship orientation. Must be able to secure the trust and confidence of the client and form a long-term relationship.

At least 5-10 years experience in the targeted service area for Legal Technology, Litigation Support, Electronic Data Discovery or Project Management
For Document Solutions, experience must include working knowledge of one or more of the following technology disciplines and related processes:
- imaging, workflow, document management and Internet
- copy, print and reprographics, networked environment
- records and information management
- document creation document management
Experience should include hands on project management, legal administration, or litigation support management demonstrating analytical, technical and process design proficiency
Demonstrated track record in high-level program implementation and/or information technology or litigation support/electronic evidence discovery management
Minimum bachelor's degree required
Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized
Strong client relationship skills and service orientation
Proficient in Windows Environment (Office Suite) Software
Ability to work in a demanding, client-focused, team environment
Successful in a matrix environment
30% degree of travel required
