Litigation Class Action Paralegal

Leading global asset management company with a diverse institutional base seeks an experienced litigation paralegal to coordinate class action filing and settlement processes.

 

Candidate will work with outside vendors to provide data needed to complete the filings; check notices received against vendor?s database and monthly reports; respond to emails authorizing vendor to file class actions; respond to calls from claims administrators to provide additional information as needed; respond to internal requests for information and distributing copies of the class action procedures when requested; prepare quarterly reports for fund boards/compliance; work with custodians to maintain updated account lists and following through to make sure checks are deposited to the correct accounts. Maintenance of all information including tracking and recording in spreadsheets.

 

Candidate must have excellent organizational skills to handle the coordination of class action filings, ability to work up as well as down and maintain internal and external communications. Top notch writing and communication skills required as well as good computer skills. Candidate should possess a bachelor's degree. Mutual fund experience is preferred. A general understanding of the workings of a mutual fund would be acceptable.

 

Salary is commensurate with experience and will go up to 100K plus a bonus for the right candidate.
