Litigation Support Analyst/Manager

Several litigation support positions. Senior spots require experience supervising a staff of 15+



JOB SUMMARY: Analyzes, consults, plans and implements litigation support workflows in the Litigation Practice Support Areas of the Firm. Applies database, Imagebase and Web technology in support of the Firm's goals and requirements.



FUNCTIONS: - Oversees, coordinates and tracks project progress and work-flow from inception to trial or deal closing. - Acts as liaison between the staff of Practice Support and Network Systems and case teams, attorneys and clients on projects. - Designs databases and reports. - Review database data loads. - Develop recommendations, plans, cost estimates, budgets, procedures, and specifications for case-specific projects from discovery to trial phase. - Drafts project proposals and provides status reports. - Provides end user support and customer service. - Interact with users of varying skill level - Responds to on-demand training and assistance requests. - Troubleshoot litigation support applications. - Maintains and updates project files and documentation. - Gathers information regarding needs and processes of the various practice areas. - Researches latest technology trends. - Participates in development of long-term strategies in support of the Firm's practice areas. - Contacts and reviews vendors. - Creates cost analyses for projects done by vendors. - Manages projects sent to vendors. - Reviews and verifies bills presented by vendors for projects. - Assist in professional development of staff members. - Performs other related duties as assigned.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: - Working knowledge of Concordance, Summation, Live Note and other litigation support software. - Working knowledge of electronic data processing for discovery.

 

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: - Bachelors degree - Experience in a litigation environment with thorough knowledge of the litigation process and an understanding of the use of technology to support litigation efforts. - A detailed knowledge of the processes of litigation with emphasis on trial procedures, discovery, document production, document management, coding and scanning procedures and use. -
