Paralegal – Investment Fund/Hedge Fund

Our client, a Seattle-based financial boutique that provides leading-edge investment management services to clients worldwide, seeks an experienced Paralegal to provide key support to the legal department attorneys in the company?s development, and management of hedge funds and private equity funds. In addition to serving as a member of the 17-person Legal and Compliance Department, this individual will also have significant involvement with the investment operations and client relationship departments of the company. This Paralegal will determine/document investor qualifications; prepare US, state and non-US securities filings (Blue Sky and other); draft and review fund and investor documentation (offering documents, subscription agreements, confidentiality agreements, transfer agreements, etc.); and conduct legal research and analysis. The successful candidate must have at least two years? relevant experience with a law firm, venture capital, hedge fund or other securities-related business. Other requirements include: knowledge of federal securities laws, rules and regulations relating to private offerings, private investment fund formation, and investment adviser regulation. This individual must have proficient computer skills, strong communication skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, a sense of urgency, and the ability to work in an intellectually challenging and team oriented culture.
