Paralegal / Fund Documentation Specialist

The D. E. Shaw group, an investment and technology firm, seeks a fund documentation specialist for its Legal Department. The successful candidate will join a team that oversees the production of complex documents connected with the firm?s investment products and vehicles. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and editing operative and disclosure documents, managing the documentation process, and coordinating with outside professionals and various groups within the firm.

 

The position requires superior writing, organizational, and analytical abilities; proven editing, proofreading, and project-management skills; and acute attention to detail. Paralegal experience and some background in finance and/or investment management is a strong plus. Candidates should have a first-rate academic background and 2 to 5 years? work experience.
