This position is responsible for reviewing legal files and correspondence and taking appropriate actions concerning summons, garnishments, and liens. No paralegal certificate required.

 

We are seeking talented candidates who posses the following skills/requirements:College degree Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite is required.  Excel experience preferred.Detail-oriented and able to multi-task.Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.Experience in a Legal environment a Plus.

 

Position Duties:Review incoming mail and enter comments in the computer stating the nature of the mail and take appropriate actions.Request summons for service of process, request wage and bank garnishments, and liens.Review various queues on a daily basis.Make requests for liens, abstracts, or transcripts to be recorded.Perform skip tracking of debtors. Compose pre and post judgment letters to defendants in order to initiate contact and negotiate settlements.Initiate phone calls to clients and garnishees and compose follow-up correspondence.Other duties as assigned.
