Practice Development Manager—Litigation

Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham LLP, an international law firm with approximately 1,000 lawyers in 12 offices throughout the U.S. and London, is seeking an enthusiastic, highly organized, energetic individual to join its firmwide marketing team as a Practice Development Manager - Litigation based in the firm?s Pittsburgh office.  The Practice Development Manager ? Litigation will have responsibility for developing and executing programs and initiatives to support practice area groups within the firmwide Litigation Practice Area.  The Manager will consult and coordinate with Litigation Practice Area Leaders (PALs), practice group coordinators (PGCs), internal Marketing/PAL liaison, office leaders, and individual lawyers to help focus and direct business development activity.  The Manager will supervise and balance the workload of designated Marketing staff to ensure that marketing and business development activities are executed efficiently and effectively. The position reports to the Acting Chief Marketing Officer, with dotted line reporting to the Litigation PALs.

 

Candidates must have minimum of six years of marketing experience--including substantial business development/sales experience in a professional services firm--or closely related work environment, MBA or similar graduate-level degree preferred, outstanding communication and diplomacy skills, demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels, ability to work independently, outstanding project management skills and the ability to juggle competing, shifting priorities, collaborative, team-oriented approach to work.
