Department Description: Law Department-Processes, Tools and Quality Group

Responsibilities/Expectations: - Responsible for day to day training, program management, domain expertise, and process improvements for specific assigned law department eTool (s)
- Responsible for practice area and regional support of eTool(s)
- Responsible for the implementation of specific law department projects at the direction of the general law business operations director
- Responsible for understanding specific eTool alignment to other LD eTools
- Responsible for working closely with corporate IT groups to ensure that the Law Department and IT resources are coordinated
- Responsible for vendor evaluation, contract negotiation & interface in conjunction with IT and the procurement organization
- Initializing, planning (defining requirements), executing/managing, and closing projects
- Completing projects within budget and on time while meeting client requirements
- Building client and vendor relationships and stakeholder expectations, providing project leadership, leveraging project management tools, monitoring project performance, and understanding their projects strategic impacts and ROI to the law department.
- Experience with SEI Level practices and DSS processes.
- Experience with cross matrix interactions
- Ability to communicate/influence clients
- Ability to set and establish clear processes for tool implementation
- Possess strong time management and project planning skills and be able to manage multiple simultaneous projects and strict deadlines. ^^

Knowledge Skills: The ideal candidate will have a green belt and/or black belt
Knowledge of functional area workings/requirements in law department and/or a law firm
Negotiation skills, business skills for pro/con evaluation.
Strong IT skills and knowledge/understanding
Strong program management skills
Broad skills/knowledge in all practice areas
Law Department experience a plus
