Real Estate and Transactional Attorney

Dillon Read Capital Management ("DRCM"), an alternative asset investment manager within the UBS Global Asset Management business group, is seeking a Structured Finance attorney for its New York office.

The selected attorney will work within a strong legal team in New York, London and Asia to provide on-going legal support to a very dynamic and cutting edge business. The attorney will also be integrated into other legal groups within UBS.
Job description:
o Provide ongoing transactional legal advice and support to the trading business of an investment manager on a range of structured commercial real estate products including
Fixed and floating rate commercial mortgage loans
Securitization
Equity transactions
Partnership agreements
Acquisitions

Basic Qualifications
Strong commercial real estate and securitization background, securities law. Minimum 5-7 years experience in commercial real estate at top law firm or leading investment bank or asset manager

The ideal candidate will be well-organized; result oriented; able to multi-task, meet deadlines, have excellent communication skills and be comfortable with a fast-paced environment. Have an analytical approach and the ability to provide practical solutions. The selected candidate must have a desire and skills for taking on new and challenging transactional work and financial products that are outside of their primary expertise, as may be required by a cutting edge and dynamic business. Have the confidence and ability to communicate at all levels throughout the Company. Be able to work on their own initiative and work under pressure. Be able to spot risks at an early stage and proactively manage internal constituents and external law firms if involved. Be willing to expand into new business area coverage as need develops.
