Title: Rights and Clearances Associate
Position Description:
Motion imagery, like other creative media, inherently has rights for usage and distribution. The Rights and Clearances (R&C) Associate will report to the VP of Commercialization and is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the R&C information associated with our motion imagery collection. Responsibilities include efficiently organizing currently held R&C information and cataloguing R&C information associated with new content additions to the Thought Equity collection. Additionally, this professional will be the primary resource for sales, assisting them with R&C questions and supporting clearance activity when customers elect to have Thought Equity Motion clear motion imagery on their behalf.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Organizing existing R&C information and cataloguing new R&C information
- Work with sales to evaluate submitted requests and insure clearances meet customer needs and deadlines
- Work closely with clearance team on execution of clearances and negotiations
- Assist VP Commercialization in updating process for R&C activity
- Assist VP Sales and VP Commercialization in the delivery of rights and clearances sales training
Experience and Attributes:
? Customer focused and ability to support sales efforts under tight turnaround times
? Excellent organizational, verbal, written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
? Ability to communicate and cultivate relationships with all levels of an organization.
? Ability to work independently and as part of a team
? Significant experience organizing and maintaining complex filing systems
? Demonstrated success in a results-focused, aggressive, hard working, high-growth culture, startup experience preferred but not required
? Highly adaptable and comfortable with change
? Experience with film/video production, motion imagery, or other related industries a plus
? Paralegal and/or legal administrative experience is a plus
