Sales Account Manager

Merrill is currently seeking Sales Account Managers for our Legal Solutions (MLS) division in New York City.  You will sell its full suite of service offerings, from complaint to trial encompassing electronic and paper document management through deposition services, videography and trial support.  This is an exciting opportunity for a successful consultative sales professional with proven track record.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

This is a business-to-business outside sales role.  The Account Manager will call on small to large sized law firms and legal departments, to drive new business from prospective clients, and service existing clients.  This sales professional is responsible for prospecting, outside sales calls, professional presentations, account management, maintaining high standard of customer focus and customer service, and general follow-up interaction.  This position offers professional development, and career advancement opportunities. An existing book of business with local New York law firms is a plus!



REQUIREMENTS:

 

?2+ years outside sales experience

?  Successful track record in consultative sales.

?  Strong prospecting and closing abilities.

?  Experience cold calling and not easily distracted by rejection.

?  Must be tech savvy - focus on using technology to make users? lives simpler.

?  Must be a motivated self-starter, who can work independently.

?  Possess a strong desire to exceed quota.

?  Exceptional communication, organization, and analytical abilities.

?  Excellent listening and follow-through skills.

?  Experience with Microsoft Office, and related software applications

?  Willingness to learn on the job and a desire to constantly improve.

?  Strong work ethic.

? Professional appearance and maturity.

?  Legal industry background, experience, and knowledge a plus.
