TRUST ATTORNEY-FULL-TIME-DOWNTOWN KCMO-2000169

Responsibility: Provide technical review of trust instruments, wills and other legal documents
in order to determine acceptability of documents to UMB from an administrative
and liability standpoint and provide assistance to outside attorneys drafting
documents in which UMB is designated as a corporate fiduciary. Serve as a legal
resource to Investment & Wealth Management associates regarding issues
concerning administration of fiduciary accounts, including investment, real
estate, tax and other related matters, and the drafting of documents protective
of the Bank as needed, such as releases, hold harmless agreements, etc. Assist
in the supervision of the handling of decedents' files to ensure that new
business opportunities are being developed and that UMB is adequately complying
with its duties as custodian of Bank clients' Wills and Trusts.

Requirements:

Requires Juris Doctor degree and license to practice law, preferably in
Missouri and Kansas. Experience in estate and retirement planning, estates and
trusts, probate, trust administration and estate, gift and income taxation
preferred. Experience in real estate and business organizations also helpful.
Superior oral and written communication skills. LLM, CPA, CFP, CTFA or other
related degree or designation helpful. Full-time hours: Monday through Friday
8:00am-5:00pm. Location: 1010 Grand Boulevard (Downtown KCMO)..
