Trust and Banking Associate General Counsel

A Major Financial Services Institution is looking for a Trust and Banking General Counsel.

Responsibilities include:

?  Matters will include advice regarding new trust and banking product development and strategic planning;

 

?  Advice with respect to specific trust and banking transactions; policy and procedure review;

 

?  Guidance regarding corporate governance, board of director and organizational matters; and advice regarding affiliate transactions.

 

?  The attorney should have experience in advising trust and banking institutions regulated under the federal banking laws and their related regulations, including the National Bank Act, the Federal Reserve Act, the Federal Deposit Insurance Act and the Bank Holding Company Act. 

 

 

Ideal Candidate should have?

 

?  Experience advising on trust and fiduciary matters, a strong academic record, and at least five years of relevant law firm, in-house and/or federal or state banking agency experience. 

 

?  Strong analytical and communication skills;

 

?  A thorough understanding of applicable laws and regulations, and the ability to respond creatively and practically to complex transactions and issues.
