VP Legal, Senior Attorney

Provide advice and counsel to Wyndham Hotel Group lodging brands, including Wyndham, Wingate, Ramada, Super8, Days Inn, Howard Johnson and Travelodge. In particular, draft and negotiate franchise agreements and hotel management agreements and provide counsel on the development process for management agreements and acquisitions or investments in new hotel properties. For managed operations, interact closely with hotel staff and management company executives on various legal issues, including negotiation of hotel property agreements, procurement programs, sales and marketing agreements. Train franchise brand clients and management company staff on legal department and company policies and procedures.  Work with brand Presidents and staff on legal issues involving brand programs, standards and strategies.

Excellent writing skills, negotiation skills, oral communications.  Ability to think on the go and make good decisions without long periods of contemplation or research.  Must have strong legal instincts, good people skills, legal creativity, ability to understand and orient to different customer styles and cultures.  Able to work without significant supervision. Law School graduate; admission to New Jersey or New York Bar, 5+ years experience in law firm or corporate environment, experience in hospitality and franchising a major plus; major transaction experience preferred.
