Vice President Contract Processing, Structured Settlements

 

JOB SCOPE:  This position is responsible for overseeing, directing and managing the processing of the company?s structured settlement purchase group.  The position requires a combination of strong legal/litigation experience along with a proven management track record. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: General oversight of company?s staff, business and legal process with regard to the legal processing of structured settlements.Directing the processing of customer contracts from execution until funding to ensure efficient, accurate and timely fulfillment of contract commitments and revenue recognition. Recruiting, training and maintaining a full complement of well trained and effective contract specialists, processors and in-house legal counsel. Overseeing the company?s pipeline transactions and ensuring timely and effective follow-up on every active transaction. Retaining and overseeing all outside counsel relationships.  Assessing corporate risk related to unconventional financial transactions. Establishing and maintaining a high level of internal communication between processing, sales, finance and marketing to ensure timely and effective communication of processing challenges.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Juris Doctor degree and admission to a state bar required. 5+ years experience as a practicing attorney. Demonstrated experience managing a staff of employees. Demonstrated knowledge of contract principles and legal drafting. Demonstrated experience developing and managing a process oriented environment. Exceptional interpersonal skills. Demonstrated excellent organization and time management skills as well as ability to effectively multi-task.
