WORDPROCESSING COORDINATOR
Word Processing Coordinator - $65K +
The San Francisco office of a large firm has an opening for a Word Processing Coordinator. This position is a working coordinator position requiring strong communication and service skills. Responsibilities include interfacing with attorneys and other staff on document submissions and deadlines; assessing, organizing and distributing the workload to meet attorney deadlines; providing support to the department staff; coordinating lunch and break periods to accommodate the workload; managing the smooth transition of the workload to the day coordinator or other offices as necessary and notifying the department manager of any personnel or equipment problems that need intervention or resolution. Other duties may include scheduling training support for staff members and other duties or projects as required.
The successful candidate will have BA/BS degree or equivalent in experience; a minimum of five years of progressively responsible coordination experience in a document processing department of a large sized law firm; excellent communication, client service, and interpersonal skills; ability to make quick decisions and find alternative resolutions to problems in a fast-paced environment; high level of proficiency and strong proven experience with sophisticated levels of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel required; candidate must be willing to become MOUS (Microsoft Office User Specialist) certified at an expert level on Word, PowerPoint and Excel programs if required; experience with workflow coordination, document prioritization and legal documents required; sufficient knowledge of hardware and software to troubleshoot and resolve problems; ability to work overtime as needed.
