4-Slide Set-Up Operator

Leach International, a subsidiary of Esterline Technologies, is a leader in the design, engineering and manufacture of electro mechanical, solid state and electronic relays, voltage regulating devices, contactors, switches and power distribution assemblies for the aircraft and aerospace industries. Headquartered in Buena Park, CA, we have business and manufacturing operations in the US and in Mexico. We currently have an immediate need for a  4-Slide Set-Up Operator.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Independently sets up 4-Slide equipment and operates fabrication machinery to Leach specifications. Completes piece parts and subassemblies. Check very precision parts produced from flat ribbon stock and some wire forms. Troubleshoots problems and makes adjustments if necessary.

 

PREREQUISITE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

5 years experience setting up and adjusting production equipment such as Nison00 or L700 4-Slide machines.

 

Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing instructions.

 

Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometer, disc micrometer, drop gages, dial indicators, calipers, feeler gages, gap gages, precision pin gages, measurement scale, microscope, optical comparators, surface plates, weight scale and heat treating ovens and other equipment.  Will be checking very precision parts produced mainly from flat ribbon stock and some wire forms.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Using blueprints and fabrication machinery to Leach specifications.  Complete piece parts and subassemblies for further processing.

 

Checks parts and subassemblies while running using basic measuring instruments.  Visually checks for nay distortion.

 

Set up and operates 4-slide machine.

 

Maintains a clean and safe environment.

 

Performs other duties as required.
