Position Summary:

Reporting to the Controller, the Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for the timely and accurate payment of invoices and maintenance of the Accounts Payable system and files and to review and verify invoice accounts and journal entries. This position is also required to perform duties pertaining to month and year end.



Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Match invoices to purchase orders and receivers.

2. Pay invoices to ensure timely and accurate payment for goods and services purchased by the company.

3. Respond to questions/inquiries about accounts payable issues form vendors and company personnel. Maintain vendor files.

4. Enter journal entries into SAP

5. Month-end responsibilities include Chep Pallet accrual, Distribution Center invoice reconciliation.

6. Prepare accounting journal entries, account reconciliation, and expense analysis. Distribute financial reports and assist with financial reporting projects, as needed.

7. Maintain tax exempt certificate and verify sales taxes on invoices.

8. Process payroll as a backup and on an as needed basis.

9. Enter data into SAP and/or Maximo in a timely manner.

10. Other duties as assigned.



Decision-Making Authority/Accountability Level:

The incumbent is accountable for the accuracy of all invoices entered into SAP and their accounts they are coded to, accuracy with bank reconciliations, general ledger input and analysis, and ensure all appropriate reports are completed for the month and year end process.



Minimum Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements include a minimum of 2 years of accounting related experience, strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint etc. and strong accounting/mathematical skills.
