Accounting/Purchasing Clerk

New World Restaurant Group, Inc, one of the largest bagel manufacturers in the West Coast, is currently seeking an Accounting/Purchasing Clerk  to join its Whittier, CA facility.

 

As an accounting/purchasing clerk you will support the Finance and Procurement Manager for the division.

 

Responsibilities:Prepare and ensure proper and timely processing of accounts payable transactions, including the approval and receiving of purchase ordersCoding and inputting of invoices into AP moduleMatching invoices with purchase order and receiversMaintain departmental files current as well as all related company payables and inter-company transactionsRespond to vendor and internal inquiriesProcess incoming and outgoing mail for the facilitySupports the  purchasing functions as described by the department managerDevelop and maintain productive working relationships with vendors, management and employeesOther duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:1-2 years experience in accounting with A/P, A/R, G/L, preferable in the manufacturing. Accounting courses a plusStrong Administrative Assistant background (preferred)Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Lawson Accounting softer a plusMust be very self-motivatedExcellent ability to communicate both written and verbally with many levelsExcellent organizational skillsVery detail oriented
