Aftermarket Purchasing Manager

DUTIES:

Supervise and train planners, buyers, and/or purchasing agents.

Supervise and train all negotiation activities with vendors.

Supervise new product and vendor management.

  1. Develop and maintain part numbers.

  2. Develop and maintain pricing contracts

  3. Negotiate special pricing or incentive program with vendors for customers.

Manage inventory levels, turns, and obsolescence.

Utilize advantages as AES aftermarket.

Coordinate purchasing effors cohesively with OEM operations.

Coordinate global purchasing opportunies.

Coordinate inbound and outbound, TL &LTL shipping freight companies to maximize carrier utilization and maximize freight savings.

Advance system capabilities for processes and forecasting.

Review packaging and private labeling for brand identification and economical savings.

EXPERIENCE:

Five years minimum in purchasing or inventory management field.

Two years minimum in DRP forecast or MRP planning.

Two years minimum in Truck-Trailer industry.

Supervisory or management experience preferred.

EDUCATION:

Minimum High School Diploma

Preferred 2 to 4 year Associate Degree
