Job description

On behalf of our client, due to expansion, we are searching for a talented and experienced Purchasing Manager to join their successful facility located in beautiful and warm Georgia.  If you are currently a Purchasing Manager with at least 5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, strong project management skills and vendor management experience apply today!  If you have CIPM or CPM certifications or knowledge and experience with SAP that would give you a huge edge! ++ The successful applicant will report to the Director of Sourcing and will execute purchasing strategies in the facility as well as identifying, negotiating and developing contracts with both existing and new suppliers.  In addition the applicant will manage day to day actives in the facility and improve vendor performance issues as some of their duties and responsibilities.

 

Requirements

To be considered for this outstanding opportunity, you must have the following:

 

?  A Bachelors Degree from a 4-year university is required

?  5 + years of purchasing or sourcing in a manufacturing environment

?  2 + years of supervisory or management experience

?  SAP experience, CPM or CIPM certification is a plus ++

?  Project management and vendor management experience is required
