THE SITUATION
The Analyst, Operations Strategy and Analysis will lead elements of OSA initiatives with BU Operating Teams; leveraging Industrial Engineering methodologies to analyze the company value chains, processes/workflows and third party spend characteristics to identify opportunities to deliver measurable economic value through a focus on operational process optimization. The Analyst will also provide analytical thought and process support on complex sourcing and supply chain initiatives when appropriate.

THE POSITION
The Analyst, Operations Strategy and Analysis will have project responsibility within the Operations Strategy and Analysis team.
Key Accountabilities:

Leverage the science and methodologies of Industrial Engineering to identify and size opportunities for extracting economic value in key operations, value chains and commodities.


Contribute to annual and mid-term plans for driving strategic process optimization within and across Business Units. Propose annual work plan with measurable objectives that will deliver hard cost savings.


Partner with Business Unit Operating Teams to create the Business Case for change and lead/participate in the implementation team.


Leverage analysis and process knowledge to feed into the Segment and Commodity AOP process.


Provide Ad hoc analysis and process leadership in support of special projects and sourcing initiatives.


Appropriately and continually challenge the status quo in the Company's operating practices and our sourcing process to drive operational excellence

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Qualified candidates will have the following:

Core Skills:

Industrial or Operations Engineering experience

Experience in process mapping, benchmarking, and quantifying improvements. Capability to develop a business case and effectively articulate benefits and risk.

Outstanding communication skills

Ability to think strategically and internationally

Ability to build and lead effective cross-functional teams

Excellent facilitation and negotiation skills

Ability to manage diverse stakeholder interests and expectations

Strong project management experience required

Expertise and application of supply chain management and business process reengineering practices
Desired Qualifications:

Industrial Engineering background

3-7 years of experience focused on optimizing business processes

Bachelor's degree required, MBA or Masters in Engineering preferred

Internal/external business consulting experience desired

6 Sigma methodology experience - possibly Black Belt/Green Belt
Other Requirements:

Willingness to travel (position may require 25% travel)
