Architectural Paint Formulation Chemist

Our client is a relatively new paint sales and marketing company that has developed a point-of-sale paint manufacturing and tinting system that will be installed in a variety of mass retail stores throughout the United States. This proprietary system is backed by some of the most established and well-funded Fortune 500 companies in the world and will turn the retail paint world on its head by cutting inventory and eliminating many supply chain problems that exist in the industry today.

Our client has contracted us to help build their technical staff by bringing on a specialized architectural paint formulation chemist. This will be a bench/lab position, which will have high visibility within the organization and is a great opportunity to get in on the ground level of a growing company.

The qualified candidate for this position will have had experience formulating low VOC architectural coatings within a manufacturing environment. Candidates should have a proven track record of color formulation, resin and pigment knowledge, as well as a demonstrated ability to work will all grades of paint will be required for this position. Chemistry or related degree is a must, as well as the ability to work in a self-directed environment.
