The mission of the electron gun production team is to produce electron guns for both internal and external customers.  The e-gun team works to achieve production goals through the values of safety, quality, on-time delivery, cost control and continuous improvement.

 

 

The Position

 

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Sr. Assembler is responsible for performing a wide variety of electro-mechanical assembly operations on system components, sub-assemblies and finished goods.  The Assembler follows detailed work instructions for methods and sequence of operations in performing assembly, test, and inspection.  This position is also responsible for making setups and adjustments according to Work Instructions, drawings and specifications.


Specific deliverables associated with this opportunity include:

Electro-chemical etch of thermal field emitters (TFE?s).

 

Apply zirconium to TFE?s before oxygen processing.

 

Assemble TFE?s at various points in the process, including pre-facet, facet and final assembly.

 

Load/unload vacuum chambers.

 

Assembles products for sale to the customer (final assembly).

 

Enter quality data, print and interpret quality charts.

 

Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks per schedule.

 

Perform inventory transactions during the production process.

 

Final documentation and packaging of finished product.

 

Trouble-shoot tools and process equipment with technician or engineer.

 

Support other emitter product lines as required with etching and/or other processes.

Position Requirements

 

The successful applicant for this position will possess the following combination of education and experience:

 

Typically requires and Associates degree in electronics and 5+ years of related experience, or a combination of education, training and experience that demonstrate the required skills. Entry into this level is determined by management?s assessment of your performance, skills and abilities.
