Assembly OBQ Auditor - 3rd Shift

Specific Responsibilities:

1.  Responsible for performing a visual and functional quality audit on predetermined product per written audit instructions and make decisions on conformance per predetermined guidelines.

2.  Responsible for completing all audit paperwork and documents and ensuring such documents are processed and/or filed as required.

3.  Responsible for working with appropriate manufacturing operator or technical staff, to initiate identification of the quality issue and follow on completion/correction status of nonconformance to work towards correcting the issue as part of the companies continuous improvement /feedback goal.

4.  Responsible for promoting (championing) quality in the manufacturing process from the perspective of the customer and taking corrective action to achieve customers expectations.

5.  Perform a variety of complex and intricate assembly operations and processes on production assemblies as necessary to support the manufacturing process.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

? Skills or experience with personal computers are required

? Good communication skills, both oral and written, are required

? Must demonstrate a working knowledge of the MRP system to verify product bill of materials at a minimum

? Proven understanding and utilization of requisitions is required

? Ability to meet assembly standards and recommend efficiency improvements

? Must posses strong time management and organizational skills

? Ability to be a quality conscious individual capable of achieving quantity requirements

? Knowledge of BEST nomenclature for finished product is preferred

? Must possess skills to assemble a variety of product accurately while maintaining a pace dictated by the department

? High school diploma or equivalent

? Experience with MRP/SABLE is required

? 3 ? 4 years as a BEST Sr. Assembler or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment required

? Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
