Assembly/Production

Assembly Positions   Manufacturing Assemblers needed at a leading product provider to pharmaceutical, biotechnology and academic research markets.  Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is responsible for the assembly and packaging of products used in a laboratory setting.  The product is a pipette.  The company produces pipette tips and the plastic boxes that are packaged in.  The pipette tips come out in a tray, are placed (by hand) into a rack.  The rack is then visually checked for inconsistencies, hair, and consistent length.  The box top is placed; they are run through a machine for shrink wrap.  Shrink wrapped boxes are placed into cardboard boxes and tracking stickers are affixed to the side.  Boxes go into larger boxes for mailing.

 

 

Responsibilities include:

 

Basic operation of assembly equipment

Visual inspection of manufactured products in accordance with specification and procedures

Packaging of quality inspected products

Following instructions for operating equipment and specific processes

Material handling activities

Proper labeling of packages

Following company safety policies

 

Required experience

 

High School diploma or equivalent

Minimum 3 years experience in a fast paced environment (i.e., fast food, manufacturing, etc.)

Ability to comprehend and follow complex detailed assembly instructions both verbally and in written format

Prior visual inspection experience

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Positive and cooperative attitude and ability to work under pressure

Demonstrated experience balancing team and individual responsibilities

Basic math skills

 

Temp to perm opportunity.  Positions pay $9 hr. 

First, Second and Third shifts available
