GENERAL SUMMARY   Lead improvement efforts at business unit utilizing six sigma and lean manufacturing techniques to eliminate waste and improve customer service.

This position will have direct responsibility for leading kaizen events, developing & implementing cross functional process improvement teams, and reducing waste through process improvement.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLILITES

 

Train all new employees on six sigma principles ? Yellow Belt Training.

Lead kaizen events to eliminate waste in order to reduce cost and lead-time.

Position will take an active role in identifying and selecting continuous improvement opportunities that formulate our business plan.

Position will lead major continuous improvement projects critical to business results.

 SPECIFICATIONS

  REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent certification in lean manufacturing or Toyota Production System.

BS in mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent

EXPERIENCE ON JOB TO ATTAIN ACCEPTABLE LEVEL OF PERFORMANCE

  3 + years of lean manufacturing implementation

 

PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES BASED ON PAST EXPERIENCE, BUT NOT REQUIRED

Demonstrated ability to improve business processes.
