Job Description
The Black Belt provides a leading example of Philips? culture change. The Black Belt demonstrates the value of the Black Belt Program process improvement methodology through projects focused on key business initiatives. Black Belts act as both technical & cultural change agents and internal consultants for process improvement. Black Belts will lead teams implementing the Black Belt methodology as part of the Philips BEST (Business Excellence through Speed and Teamwork) corporate initiative. Black Belts drive timely and focused project execution resulting in measurable business improvements with targeted financial and customer impact. Introducing the methodology and tools to team members and the broader organization is a responsibility of the Black Belt as change agent. The Black Belt is expected to mentor train and coach team members. The Black Belt will have a broad knowledge of Business Excellence tools and initiatives.
Requirements
BA/BS degree. Certified Black Belt or equivalent experience in process improvement. Statistical fluency. Confidence with concepts and applications of statistics. Project management. Demonstrated skill in leading cross site, multi-functional, matrixed teams. Effective trainer. Tailor material and delivery to needs of audience. Results oriented. Focused on achieving overall business objectives. Coalition builder. Able to build demand for BEST tools by demonstrating value and celebrating successes.
