Boiler Operator-Tarrytown, Florida







This position has a rotating work schedule that switches between a 3-day week and a 4-day week, each with 12 hour shifts. This position consists of operating 2-300HP steam boilers that produce steam to service 2-dry Kilns.  Must be knowledgeable with tube boilers used to produce steam heat, tank water levels, McDonnell Miller water level switches, main stream valves, pole and lumber drying time and temperature.  Must also be familiar with kiln control and temperature chart, air and steam pressure gauges, air compressors, kiln vents, doors, pipes, and tank condensation. 

 



Candidates must meet the following requirements:



? High school diploma or equivalent GED

? Experience with boilers and Kilns

? Must be willing to work overtime when required, may include weekends.

? Good communication skills, detail oriented.

? Previous experience in the lumber industry a plus.

? Must be safety conscious.

? Must have a positive attitude and willingness to work as a part of the team.
