Boring Mill Journey

Hawker Pacific Aerospace seeks two Boring Mill Journeys for our Machine Shop.  This person will be responsible for the following responsibilities: 

 Set up, adjust and operate rotary table boring mills to perform diversified, progressive multi-tooled machining operations on large and expensive work where relationship of machining locations must be maintained to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications requiring a broad knowledge of machining practices and procedures. Must be able to set up his/her own machine using fixtures, angle plates, rotary tables or whatever is necessary to complete the operation on the work piece.Must be able to produce micro finishes while boring and facing irregular-shaped parts difficult to hold aircraft components.Responsible for ensuring that all the traceability for the work he/she does is complete and legible.

 

R Requirements:Must possess a high degree of skill and technique, plus long-term experience.Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience operating large horizontal boring mills.Requires knowledge of machining technology, mechanical principles and advanced shop mathematics.Employee must be able to position and align work, block, support, and secure work to the machine table with little or no supervision.Must be totally familiar with statistical process control and total quality management techniques.Must be able to use a wide variety of precision?s measuring equipment and layout and inspect his/her own work.Willing to use Statistical Process Control guidelines to improve the process capability of his machine and processes.Must possess the ability to read and understand blueprints and complex sectional drawings.Please indicate the position you are applying for and list your salary requirements.
