Description: Azonix www.azonix.com is in search of a ?Hunter? to develop business in the DOD. ?This is in line with its diversification strategy of expanding its products across the Army weapon system portfolio and battlefield information system/network operations spectrum. This person will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, increasing revenue in line with the company business plan and guide the company as it strives to gain market share in these target industries.

Requirements:? Twenty to twenty five years of selling technical solutions to the DOD, Army in a direct basis, through their Prime Contractors or OEM?s. This person should have a ruggedized computer or similar background, is familiar with COTS, and is accustomed to longer sell-cycles. They should also be familiar with the DOD Planning, Programming, Budgeting Execution System (PPBES) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Acquisition Life cycle dynamics.? He/she should have a solid understanding of the target industries particularly the military weapon system, materiel and equipment in which their products are to be used. Industry drivers, competitors, various channels to market as well as knowledge of military weapon system acquisition/contracting centers, Army and Joint Service battlefield information systems, network requirements, and the development and integration communities are required.

This person will have worked with or for Army Acquisition Centers such as AMCOM, CECOM, TACOM, PEO EIS, PEO C3T, PEO GCS, or PEO CS/CSS or the Primes such as General Dynamics Land Systems, (Taunton). BAE, Textron, Lockheed-Martin, Northrop-Grumman, or possibly OEM?s such as Oshkosh, Stewart & Stevenson, or AM General. He/She should have a proven track record of developing new business in these industries or segments.?

A strategic thinker and executer in developing new business and channels to target markets. A person who work works well in a fast paced environment, is attentive to detail, and is honest with a high degree of integrity.

Education:? A Bachelor?s degree is required at a minimum. A technical degree with a DOD Acquisition Life Cycle Certification in contracting ?a plus.

Time Frame:? Immediately

?

Location:? To be determined but most likely in the Detroit, Washington, DC or Texas area.

?

Travel Requirements:? 25 to 30% overnight travel
