Business Planner I

Job Description: This position is responsible for supporting the GM Service Technical College and ASEP Schools locations with tools and equipment required to conduct GM Technician Training. The position is responsible for planning, managing, tracking, and reporting based on regional requirements to ensure the training can be conducted as planned. The position also requires direct customer interface to include monthly financial planning and reporting into a GM business unit.




Job duites include, but are not limited to :
-Securing quotes from vendors.
-Determine method and source of purchasing
-Develop appropriation requests and obtain approvals
-Initiating purchase requests and order placement
-Track and manage purchases from start to delivery
-Conduct pricing, quality, and delivery management
-Invoice compilation, and payment preparation, tracking, and reconciliation
-Prepare monthly financial set-up, tracking, and reporting
-Develop and maintain the GM budget forecast for this burden center on a monthly basis
-Develop and maintain various logs and reports


Required Skills: (specialized experience/knowledge/skills for job)
-Minimum two years in a Purchasing/Accounting Analyst role
-Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Lotus Notes (GM E-Mail)
-Excellent written and communication skills
-Detail Oriented and a High-Level Multi-Task capability
-Able to handle a fast-paced environment
-Ability to work well with others within and outside of Raytheon and GM


Desired Skills: (other skills/abilities which will be helpful)
-Experience in the GM SPO Ordering System would be a plus



Required Education: (including major)
-Bachelors degree in Business, Management, Finance or four years in a Purchasing/Accounting Analyst role
