Business Unit Leader

The Business Unit Leader directs the operational, technical, mechanical and material activities of the total operational areas ensuring maximum output within quality, safety, sanitation, and product protection standards within schedule constraints and at minimal cost.  A significant amount of time is spent on the floor observing and coaching particular areas of responsibility.  It is important that the incumbent maintains an environment that encourages open communication and supports mutual problem-solving with hourly employees.

 

The incumbent must be capable of spending the major portion of the day walking, climbing, and some lifting as necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. The incumbent must be able to adjust priorities continuously during the shift as changing priorities affect the daily operation of the Plant.

 

This position requires a Bachelor's degree as well as previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.  This position will be on either the 3-11 p.m. shift or 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift and requires a considerable amount of weekend work, which is paid.
