Our client, a World's leading search engine in the Mountain View area, is seeking MRP Buyer for a three month plus assignment! This position will involve purchasing a high volume of various types of commodities. Will need strength in negotiations, cost/price analysis and purchasing procedures. Will source and recommend potential suppliers. Duties to include:
* Develop partnerships with other groups to foster cross functional teamwork to achieve desired targets.
* Resolve receiving and accounts payable discrepancies.
* Support cost reduction programs.
* Perform first level support to investigate and resolve order problems (both internal and external).
* Process purchase orders received by Oracle i-Procurement interface.
* Update and maintain records and files as nessesary.
* Will follow up on open purchase orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery and communicate with internal customers.
* Where purchased items are drop-shipped to remote locations, create shipping notices and communicate shipping information to destination sites in a timely fashion.

Requirements:
* BA or BS Degree and a top academic performer.
* 4 to 6 years purchasing experience.
* MRP
* Previous ERP experience, Oracle 11i experience preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to operate software applications including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Self starter and team player.
* Be able to set priorities and meet deadlines.
