Buyer Planner - New Product Materials / Sr. Buyer Planner Production Procurement

Seeking to hire a Buyer/Planner -  New Product Materials / Sr. Buyer Planner Production Procurement at our Everett Manufacturing Facility.

 

Purpose of the Job:

 

The cost-effective management of the Supply Chain. This position challenges the status quo and takes a pro-active approach to the formation of improved processes and practices. This position aligns itself with Management direction and helps to actualize department goals through consistent progress in attaining department objectives. Typically, this position operates with limited direction from the Purchasing Manager.

 

Principal responsibilities, duties and tasks of the job:

1. Review of requisitions and authorizations to procure goods and services.

2. Validation of requisitions and authorizations to procure goods and services.

3. Negotiate significant contracts, agreements, letters of intent, as to price, delivery, quality of goods and services.

4. Manage the entire acquisition process.

5. Pro-active approach to resolution of discrepant material and services.

6. Pro-active approach to Vendor Improvement and the Vendor Corrective Action Process.

7. Anticipates Accounts Payable and Vendor issues and prevents disputes.

8. Develop/implement Inventory Management techniques and Cost Reduction programs.

9. Value added facilitation of the Vendor Selection Process.  Education: A 4-year college degree in a business related field. Experience: 5 years of relevant procurement experience.

Requires mastery of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Non-Inventory Procurement Systems. Other preferred attributes and skills include: Professional demeanor and presentation. Project Management skills and experience.Demonstrated ability to develop and write policies and procedures.Proven performance record in Inventory Management.Demonstrated success in Total Material Cost Management ISM certification designation of CPM preferred.APICS certification designation of C.P.I.M. or C.I.R.M. preferred
